Heat Pump Pricing Index respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how to control it. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

What we collect

We collect minimal data, all of it through industry-standard tools:

  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) records anonymous visit data: page views, time on site, country/region, device type, and referring URL. GA4 uses IP-anonymization; we cannot identify you personally from this data.
  • Browser-local storage — your "personalize for state" choice and dark/light mode preference are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
  • Server logs — Amazon CloudFront and S3 record HTTP request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp). These are retained for 30 days and used only for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis.

What we don't collect

  • We do not ask for your name, email, phone, or address.
  • We do not have user accounts or login.
  • We do not run lead-generation forms.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with installers or marketers.

Advertising

Heat Pump Pricing Index displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices. You'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized.
